Andre Ayew has undergone a successful operation on a torn meniscus in his knee, according to French giants Marseille.
Ayew got crocked while playing for Ghana in the World Cup playoffs against Egypt a week ago in Cairo after a hard tackle from his opposition.
The surgery was on Monday, done by the renowned Dr Jean-Pierre Franceschi.
"Andre Ayew has been operated on successfully. Andre will leave hospital tomorrow and his unavailability is estimated at about two months," a statement on the club’s official website read.
The player had been returning a good number of goals - four goals in nine games - in a season where he started slowly.
The Ghanaian is expected back in January, in time for his club's run in the Ligue One.
