Azeez happy to pound Germany

Experienced striker, Abu Azeez has expressed excitement that his three goals helped the Nigeria's Supersand Eagles notch up their first win at the 2013 Copa Lagos Beach soccer tournament with an impressive 7-1 triumph over Germany.
The Kwara United strongman was the hero on Friday as he grabbed the first hattrick at this year's championship while team captain, Isiaka Olawale, Ikechukwu Ibenegbu, Ogbonaya Okemmiri and Emeka Ogbonna all got a goal each to vanquished the Europeans.
Abu Azeez however revealed to supersport.com that the Germans were easy opponents as the result suggested, but claimed that they were decimated because the Sand Eagles wants to retain their diadem.
“Our first game yesterday (Friday) was the best I have seen as we captured the Germans from the beginning of the game to the end.
“They gave us a good fight, but they could not match our strength and force in the second and third period,” he told supersport.com
The prolific striker has now set up his sight on the second duel of his team against Asian foes, Lebanon on Saturday.
The Lebanese luckily defeated African Beach champions, Senegal 5-4 in the opening encounter on Friday.
“Absolutely we are going for a win against Lebanon which will help us win the title again and we will leave no stone unturned," Azeez stressed
The Supersand Eagles are tied with Lebanon on three points apiece but the Nigerians lead on superior goals difference.
