Nigeria's Super Eagles face Congo in a win-or-bust Afcon 2015 qualifier on Saturday at the Stade Municipal in Pointe-Noire.
Eagles have four points from as many games and need to win the remaining two games to have any chance of securing a ticket to defend their title next year.
Coach Stephen Keshi has returned to tinker the team after he was earlier asked to step aside by the Amaju Pinnick-led NFF board.
It going to be a fierce battle as both teams will go all out in their quest to be at the tournament proper.
Having defeated Nigeria 3-2 in Calabar in their last meeting which was the first leg, Congo under French coach Claude Le Roy have grown in confidence and will look forward to defeat Nigeria.
But the Eagles knowing full well that any result short of victory in Saturday's game will mar their chances of qualifying for Afcon 2015.
Congo are aiming to feature at next year’s tournament after a 12-year absence.
Both teams have met once in Afcon proper at Ghana-Nigeria 2000 which ended in a goalless.
Both teams have met eight times with Nigeria having upper hand winning four games and drawing twice, losing two games with the last being the Afcon 2015 qualifier in Calabar, where the Eagles lost 3-2, the first time Nigeria have lost a competitive home game in 33 years.
Ashdod FC defender Juwon Oshaniwa has said Nigeria will avenge this loss.
"It is not going to be an easy game, but we are ready for that and fully prepared. We are going to Congo with a lot of confidence and hope to win," he said.
"We will do our best, and if they could come here to win, I don't see anything stopping us from winning the game. God will see us through and crown our efforts with victory over there."
Nigeria will depend on CSKA Moscow forward Ahmed Musa, who has been outstanding for his Russian club lately.
The Congolese, however, have their Greece-based midfielder Delvin N’Dinga back from injury. He missed the first leg in Calabar but will be available for the Pointe Noire clash.
Spain-based Thievy Bifouma, who scored twice in Calabar in September, and the towering Ferebory Dore from CFR Cluj are also match winners for the Red Devils.
