Matri back at Juve, Giovinco joins Toronto

Serie A leaders Juventus have signed striker Alessandro Matri on loan from AC Milan to replace Sebastian Giovinco who moves on to Canadian side Toronto, the Turin club said on Monday.
Matri, 30, played two and a half seasons at Juve, scoring 27 goals from 69 league appearances. Milan bought him in 2013, loaning him to Fiorentina and Genoa, where he played 16 games and scored seven goals this season.
On the closing day of the transfer market, midfielder Stefano Sturaro, 21, also joined Juve from Genoa after a loan term and defender Paolo De Ceglie moves back to Turin from Parma.
Giovinco, 28, grew up in Juve's youth team, debuting in the first squad in 2007 and twice lifting the Serie A title. He had two loan stints at Empoli and Parma. His transfer fee remained undisclosed.
