Head coach of Nigeria's Sand Eagles, Audu Adamu has confirmed his wards readiness for this year's Copa Lagos Beach soccer championship that will start next month.
This year's competition will take place at the Eko Atlantic mega city from December 13 to 15 and the Nigerian team are the defending champions after winning the first two editions.
Adamu told supersport.com that 20 players have been invited for this year's showpiece and will camp at the Fifa goal project in Abuja from November 27.
“I have called 20 players to camp in Abuja and I'm so much happy because the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has promised to give us massive support.
“This year has been so much colourful in Nigeria considering the fact that the Super Eagles won the Afcon and the Golden Eaglets just won the Under-17 World Cup.
“We are the last this year (taking part in a tournament) and I'm sure that we would retain our trophy next month in Lagos and give Nigerians a good Christmas gifts,” Adamu said to supersport.com
The Sand Eagles will this year face serious competition from Germany, Lebanon and Senegal.
This will be the second time that Lebanon will be participating in this championship as they were among the four teams that took part last year.
