Bayer Leverkusen will have a second South Korean in their ranks after agreeing to sign striker Ryu Seung Woo on loan from Jeju United.
Ryu, 20, undertook a medical test on Wednesday in Leverkusen and will join his new teammates at a training camp in Portugal in the new year, the Bundesliga club said.
Ryu, who impressed at the under-20 world championships in Turkey this summer, will join fellow South Korean striker Son Heung Min at Leverkusen.
Leverkusen, second in the Bundesliga behind Bayern Munich, have an option to buy Ryu from Korean K-League side Jeju at the end of the 12-month loan period.
Meanwhile full-backs Sebastian Boenisch and Roberto Hilbert were able to return to training Wednesday after recovering from knee injuries.
Hilbert was given an individual training programme five weeks after tearing a knee ligament, while Boenish had been sidelined for four match with bruising at the back of the knee joint.
