The Zidane dynasty appears to be taking over the reigns at Real Madrid, with the club confirming the fifth member of the family as a signing.
Zinedine Zidane's youngest son Eliaz has joined his father and his three brothers Luca, Theo and Enzo at Real’s Valdebebas academy. The eight-year-old started playing for the club's under-9 team this season.
According to the club's official website, Eliaz who was born in Marseille on 26 December 2005, weighs 27kg and stands at 1.35m tall.
"He is strong and technically gifted. He is left-footed and has great vision" the club said.
Surprisingly the young midfielder’s favourite player is defender Raphaël Varane, and he says that his most unforgettable game was the 2010 Spanish Cup final at Mestalla, in which Real Madrid beat Barcelona.
The eldest of the four Zidane brother, Enzo, plays for the under-18s and has been at the academy since 2004. Luca, who idolises Iker Casillas, is one of the under-16 team's goalkeepers. Attacking midfielder Theo (11), whose favourite player is Cristiano Ronaldo, is in his fourth season at the academy.
This means there is a possibility of a Madrid line-up featuring four Zidanes in the future with their father Zinedine coaching at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.
