Borussia Dortmund have injury concerns to Sebastian Kehl and Kevin Grosskreutz at the end of their Spanish training camp.
Grosskreutz was diagnosed on Sunday with a small tear of an ankle ligament and will be out for at least a week, the club said.
Fellow midfielder Kehl suffered a shoulder injury after colliding with Mats Hummels in the 1-0 victory over Steaua Bucharest Saturday in Alicante. An exact diagnosis is expected at the beginning of the week.
Grosskreutz had to be taken off after landing awkwardly following a challenge with a Steaua player.
Defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos and midfielder Marco Reus meanwhile both made successful comebacks in the game following injury.
"We are all pleased that he is back," coach Juergen Klopp said of Germany international Reus. "It looks very, very good in training."
The 25-year-old played the first half before being replaced at the interval by Jakub Blaszczykowski, who is also on his way back to full fitness after making just two league appearances so far this season. The Poland midfielder scored the winner in the 84th minute.
Reus has recovered from an ankle injury suffered nearly two months ago at Paderborn which ruled him out for the remainder of the year.
Dortmund have another two friendlies lined up before resuming in the Bundesliga against third-placed Bayer Leverkusen on January 31.
On Wednesday, they travel to Utrecht and on Saturday have another friendly against Fortuna Dusseldorf.
The 2011 and 2012 champions went into the Bundesliga winter break second bottom in the table after 10 defeats from 17 games.
