Ojo wants Giwa FC exit

Giwa FC goalkeeper Olorunleke Ojo is on both knees begging the side's owner, Chris Giwa, to allow him to seek greener pastures elsewhere.
The Flying Eagles' shot stopper is reported to have received strong offers from Nigerian champions Kano Pillars and Federation Cup winners Enyimba for the upcoming 2014/15 Glo Premier League season but the boss of the Tin City side is unyielding.
Ojo said he will be eternally grateful to his chairman for kindly agreeing with his wish to take his trade somewhere else.
“Enyimba and Kano Pillars have tabled strong offers for my signature but my chairman doesn't want to release me to either of the sides.
“My chairman insisted that I’m a strong pillar for the side and that the club will collapse if I’m allowed to go.
“My chairman has continued to refuse every entreaty from concerned persons on my behalf as he has insisted on seeing me serve off my remaining two-year contract.
“I've served the side very well in the last season and I believe my chairman should be happy to see me move on to higher heights.
“It’s the dream of every domestic player to play in the continent, right now two continental sides are interested in me and it baffles me that my chairman is making things difficult for me.
“There is no way the club will collapse without me as we've good and quality goalkeepers, I’m leaving everything to God.
“The truth is that my mind is no more with Giwa FC and there is no way I’ll give my best even if I’m forced to stay back.
“I want to play where I’ll give my 100 per cent body, heart and mind and the best thing my chairman can do for me right now is to release me to go where my mind is - either Enyimba or Kano Pillars.
“Others have passionately begged him without success and now I’m adding my own lone voice pleading with him to allow me to go.
“I know I signed a three-year contract with the side where I just spent a season but the clubs interested in me will be ready to pay off the difference,” said Ojo to supersport.com.
Ojo’s five-star performance greatly helped the Jos-based side to excel in the immediate past league season as well as the 2014 Federation Cup campaign.
