Celtic eyeing three points at Wits

Bloemfontein Celtic will hope to continue their winning run in the Absa Premiership when they visit Bidvest Wits on Friday night at Bidvest Stadium.
Kick-off is at 8:00pm.
Siwelele are placed at position seven with 27 points from 20 matches thus far and they’re fresh from a 2-0 win over the struggling Platinum Stars last Sunday at home.
On the other hand, the hosts are placed at position two on the Absa premiership table, 10 points behind log leaders Kaizer Chiefs. Gavin Hunt’s men are in high spirits following their 1-0 win over fellow title chasers Mamelodi Sundowns on Tuesday night.
According to the Botswana-born midfielder, Joel Mogorosi, the match against the Clever Boys will not be an easy task, but they’re motivated and ready.
“Bidvest Wits are a tough side especially playing them at home, we need to be on our toes but we’re ready,” said Mogorosi.
“It’s a tough encounter because they’re chasing the log leaders and we also want to consolidate our position among the top four.
“They’re fresh from a win over Sundowns and we’re also motivated by the win over Stars – so it’s going to be a highly contested match for the three points.
“Our mission is to go there and come back with three points.”
Although the experienced Rowen Fernandez admits that Siwelele are a good side, he believes they’ll have to win to put pressure on Stuart Baxter’s men.
“It’s a big one, it’s a thriller as Celtic are on fire, we can’t undermine them you know – they’re on song,” said Fernandez.
“All eyes are on the derby and we have to ensure we pick up the three points, and put more pressure on Chiefs.
“We’re motivated by the Sundowns win and we aim to continue winning, however, Clinton Larsen has a great team there.
“Journalists are writing about us and we’ll just have to keep working hard and everything will come together.”
