West Bromwich Albion manager Tony Pulis has announced that he is not sure if Nigeria international striker, Brown Ideye will be available for Tuesday’s Barclays English Premier League game against Aston Villa at Villa Park.
Ideye twisted a knee late in Saturday’s 1-0 Premier League win over and was substituted in the 88th minute of the contest at the Hawthorns.
The Nigerian attacker has been in great form, scoring four goals in his last five matches for the Baggies.
Ideye’s strike partner, Saido Berahino is also a doubt for Tuesday’s game and Pulis took the time to clarify the situation on the duo.
“We're still not sure about Brown or Saido so it will be a late call tomorrow before we make a decision on them,” Pulis told a press conference on Monday.
Another Nigerian on the books of WBA, Victor Anichebe, has been nursing a groin strain in recent weeks and Pulis expressed doubts over the availability of the forward for Tuesday’s clash with the Villans.
“I don't think Victor (Anichebe) will be fit for Tuesday night so we've got one or two issues and one or two problems.
"The fact is we want them fit. They've been very good for us over the past month or so and we want to keep the team that's been successful together and they have been a big part of it.
"(Berahino) has grown into what we are trying to do. He has a special talent.
“He is one we have to nurture and make sure that everything that evolves with him now is geared towards being a very good player. He has the opportunity and the chance to do that,” Pulis said.
