Police resume title chase

Third-placed Police will be hoping to register victory against lowly Mukura on Tuesday afternoon in the National Football League (NFL) when they face off at the Muhanga Stadium, Southern Rwanda.
The law enforcers, who have amassed 32 points from 19 games, are three points behind AS Kigali but victory by a three-goal margin will see Police overtake the latter on the table standings. AS Kigali have have a 13-goal difference compared to Police’s 11.
Police head coach Andre Cassa Mbungo has made it clear that his side want to finish as high as possible on the table this season and this means they have to win all their remaining games, with Mukura today the immediate assignment.
Geoffrey Okoko’s side are 11th in the log with 19 points, four above the relegation zone. The Burundian tactician is urging his players to remain focused and clinch all the three points on offer.
Coming off a 2-0 victory over Marines 10 days ago, their first victory in the second round, Mukura will be hoping to build on the momentum.
