Zambia Under-23 national team coach Fighton Simukonda is uncertain whether Bloemfontein Celtic midfielder Mukuka Mulenga will travel with his team this week to Nigeria.
Mukuka is one of two foreign based stars Simukonda is banking on to face Nigeria in a 2015 All-Africa Games football tournament final round, first leg qualifier this Saturday in Abuja.
Striker Ronald ‘Sate Sate’ Kampamba of Egyptian club Wadi Degla is the other player called-up for the qualifier.
“I have no information on Mukuka Mulenga’s availability but we still waiting for Sate-Sate to arrive,” Simukonda said.
Kampamba is expected to arrive on Tuesday when Simukonda is also due to announce his final team to face Nigeria.
Meanwhile, winger Bruce Musakanya who has been carrying an injury from last week was expected to join the team on Monday afternoon in Lusaka after travelling from Kitwe with Red Arrows to face Nkana in a 2015 FAZ Super League season-opening game on Sunday.
Musakanya was an unused substitute in the league game that Arrows won 1-0 in Kitwe.
The Zambia Under-23 will host Nigeria in the return leg decider on April 11.
Winner over both legs will qualify to the All-Africa Games to be hosted by Congo-Brazzaville from September 4-19.
