Bidvest Wits and University of Pretoria will clash in a Nedbank Cup Round of 16 tie at the Bidvest Stadium on Tuesday evening.
Kick-off is at 7:30pm.
It will be the first official cup meeting in the 'Varsity' Derby, though these two side's have gotten use to squaring off in the Absa Premiership in the past three seasons.
The game has always been a tight affair and the cup clash isn't expected to be any different with four of the six league meetings between the two Gauteng outfits ending in a draw.
This might possibly mean that the two teams are in for extra-time and coaches Gavin Hunt and Sammy Troughton will do well to let their team's get some spot-kick practice ahead of the match.
The Clever Boys, who ended as runners-up in the competition last season, beat Free State Stars on penalties following a goalless draw, while AmaTuks saw off Moroka Swallows 2-1 in the Round of 32 last month.
Bidvest Wits midfielder Papy Faty is wary of the difficulties his side are set to face come Tuesday, but is confident the Braamfontein based side will build on their unbeaten record against the Tshwane outfit.
"Cup games are always difficult. Every game is like you are playing in the cup final. We know we will need to give 150percent against AmaTuks. We are well prepared. You know the Clever Boys ... we are always well prepared by our coach Gavin Hunt," said Faty.
"We also know that Tuks are a good side. They have been doing well lately and they will be ready for a fight.
"But we are playing at home, and overall this gives us a good feeling. We are ready."
AmaTuks captain Tebogo Monyai explained that his troops are eager to progress in the tournament having finally broken their cup curse.
AmaTuks win over the Dube Birds was their first in cup competitions since being promoted to South Africa's top flight, having manged to reach the final of the 2009 Nedbank Cup while still plying their trade in the National First Division.
"It will undoubtedly be a very tough game for us. We have lost back to back games in the league, but I felt we did much better in the game against SuperSport United on Saturday, we created a lot of chances and hopefully we can build on that performance," said Monyai.
"Bidvest Wits are a very good team, well drilled, tactically very good. I am confident though that we will match them in all departments, everyone is sharp, ready and we will go all out for the win.
"We have not done well in cup games since being promoted to the league and will be out to change that. We have been conceding goals of late and we are eager to change that around. We must make sure we shut the door on Wits."
The two league meetings between the two side's this campaign ended all square.
