Daniel celebrates goal at Rangers

Sharks striker, Bode Daniel is quite excited over his first season’s goal for the Blue Sharks at Enugu Rangers.
The Garden City landlords lost 1-2 to the Flying Antelopes in Sunday’s Glo Premier League match day 2 encounter at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.
Two goal from Rangers marksmen, Rasaq Adegbite and Odah Marshal proved adequate to hand the Coal City side the maximum three points while Bode Daniel’s consolatory goal for Sharks counted for nothing in the hotly contested clash.
Daniel said he feels highly fulfilled with his first goal of the season though unhappy that it counted for nothing at the end of the day.
“I feel quite happy with the first goal of the season against Enugu Rangers though somehow unhappy that it counted for nothing.
“However as a striker it makes my day to score goal and I’m promising more goals as the league season progresses.
“Honestly, we put in 100% performance into the clash and should’ve been rewarded with at least a point.
“I understand, too that it’s not always hard work is immediately rewarded with instant success.
“Perhaps mother luck refused to smile at us but I think we’re challenged to raise our game in subsequent matches.
“Rangers are good side same as Sharks but they’re too physical and a bit desperate to earn the points on home ground.
“Well, they won the contest on match day and it won’t be right to deny them the bragging right, I’m certain we’ll get it better in our next match,” said the former Crown FC marksman to supersport.com.
Sharks still have a point in their kitty from possible six in the two-week old Nigerian top flight.
