Wolves to bench Giwa FC

Warri Wolves forward, Joseph Osadiaye, has said his side will bench Giwa FC in Wednesday’s rescheduled Glo Premier League match day 2 clash at the Warri Township Stadium.
The Seasiders were unable to honour the league clash at the weekend due to their continental assignment against the Ethiopian side, Dedebit FC which ended 2-0 in favour of Wolves.
Osadiaye said his side will not treat any of its matches with kid gloves as they are determined to end the season with silverware.
“We’ve regrouped and commenced training almost immediately for the league clash against Giwa FC on Wednesday in Warri.
“The encounter is quite crucial being our first home match of the season and we want to record a convincingly win.
“We’ve resolved to give our matches and opponents this season 100% undivided attention, we want to hang medals on our necks and trophies at the end of the ongoing season.
“We don’t want to make any further mistakes that cheated us of silverware in the immediate past season.
“Our Caf Confederation Cup opponents, Dedebit FC have actually toughened us for the encounter against Giwa FC and they’re certain to have it quite rough with us.
“At least, we must defeat Giwa FC to prove to doubters that our hard earned win against Dedebit wasn’t a fluke but well deserved.
“We want to maintain the momentum in the home front ahead of the Cup reverse fixture clash in Addis Ababa against Dedebit,” said the Nigerian marksman to supersport.com.
Warri Wolves were stunned 0-2 by Nigerian top flight newcomers, Gabros FC in match day 1 encounter in Nnewi.
