Lobi Stars central defender, Anthony Agbaji has said his side will not miss the podium dance in the upcoming 2014/15 Glo Premier League season.
The Pride of Benue finished the out gone league season on the sixth position on decent 59 points, six points behind champions, Kano Pillars.
Agbaji said his side have corrected the loopholes that cheated them of silverware in the past season with the careful injection of new players to join force with the old ones for a successful campaign in the coming season.
“Lobi Stars will be going for trophies in the coming season either or both the league and Federation Cup titles that will see us head to the continent once again.
“The sixth finish in the immediate past league season is the inspiration that will propel us to higher height in the coming season.
“The management has done excellently well by retaining close to 95% of the players that campaigned for the side in the past season with the injection of few quality new ones.
“I’m positive the input of the old and new players will go a long way to make the chase for titles a bit easier.
“We’ve taken note as well as corrected the lapses that made it impossible for us to successfully challenge for title.
“Already we’ve commenced training with the view to make sure the players blend perfectly well ahead of the start of football hostilities.
“The upcoming season will certainly be harvest of a sort for trophies for our teeming supporters as well as the entire Benue people,” said the Agbaji to supersport.com.
The Lobi Stars strongman was key to the side impressive performance in the immediate past league season.
