Amrouche names final Cecafa squad

Harambee Stars head coach Adel Amrouche has named his final 20-man squad for this year’s Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup scheduled to kick-off on Wednesday.
Wilson Obungu (Bandari), Jesse Were (Tusker) and Kingston FC Kihara Waiganjo are among the players dropped from the squad that has been training at Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani for the past one week.
Obungu has been ruled out of the regional show pieced due to a finger injury.
Apart from the trio, the newly crowned Kenyan Premier League midfielder of the year Brian Osumba (KCB), Sammy Meja (Thika United) and Abdallah Juma (AFC Leopards) have all been axed.
Azam’s defender Jockins Atudo and South Africa’s Salt River Blackpool ASD midfielder David Gateri are the only foreign-based players included in the squad.
AFC Leopards’ speedy winger Noah Wafula has been the surprise inclusion in the team and will be hoping to make his maiden national team debut against Ethiopia in a Pool A opener today.
