World Cup winner Christoph Kramer will return to Bayer Leverkusen as planned after the season from a loan spell at Borussia Moenchengladbach.
The midfielder told Wednesday's edition of the Sport Bild weekly that he is not returning because Leverkusen insist on it but because "their concept has convinced me."
Kramer, 23, has been on loan at Moenchengladbach since 2013 and was a surprise pick into Germany's World Cup squad. He was a starter on short notice in the final against Argentina, but had to leave in the first half with concussion.
Kramer's contract in Leverkusen is until 2017, and sports director Rudi Voeller aims to renew it until 2019 or 2020.
Wednesday's report comes after Kramer earlier in the season suggested he would like to stay in Moenchengladbach. He has also been linked with clubs from abroad but said that "for now the Bundesliga is the measure of all things."
Moenchengladbach coach Lucien Favre said Kramer "has a contract there (in Leverkusen). We know that he won't be here much longer."
Leverkusen rank fourth in the Bundesliga and host sixth-placed Moenchengladbach on Sunday.
