Napoli stunned by Empoli draw

Second-half goals by Duvan Zapata and Jonathan De Guzman rescued a point for Napoli as their winless streak continued in a shock 2-2 home draw with Empoli on Sunday.
Empoli took a 1-0 halftime lead at the San Paolo thanks to Simone Verdi's 19th minute opener, and the visitors doubled their lead shortly after the restart thanks to Daniele Rugani.
Napoli, who had drawn their last two outings away to Sampdoria and at home to Cagliari, eventually awoke from their slumber to reduce arrears on 67 minutes when Zapata rose above the Empoli defence to head home from a corner.
De Guzman came on for Dries Mertens two minutes later and within three minutes levelled for Rafael Benitez's side, the Dutchman hitting a deflected Christian Maggio assist past Luigi Sepe from 10 metres out.
Napoli's third draw on the trot means they remain third and are still 11 points behind leaders Juventus but are now in danger of being overtaken by Genoa, in fourth, ahead of their home game against Milan later on Sunday.
Champions Juventus were held to a scoreless draw away to Fiorentina on Friday while title challengers Roma, in second, were also held 2-2 by Sassuolo on Saturday and remain three points adrift.
