Mufulira Wanderers certain of survival

Promoted Mufulira Wanderers are optimistic they will survive demotion in the Faz Super League this season.
Zambia’s second most successful club will be campaigning in the Super League for the first time since 2005 after securing promotion from Division One North at the end of the 2014 season.
Wanderers showed the shape of things to come on February 14 when they drew 2-2 away to record 12-time champions Nkana in their first pre-season game.
The nine-time champions led 2-0 at half-time at Nkana Stadium in Kitwe before Nkana hit back to share the spoils.
“I was impressed with the performance of the boys. They played well and we contained Nkana in all departments although there were mistakes here and there, especially in the second half that led to us conceding the two goals,” Wanderers coach Manfred Chabinga said.
“I am sure Wanderers will remain in the Super League. The team is not going to be relegated.
“The performance against Nkana is encouraging and I think the boys will perform wonders.”
Wanderers took a 2-0 half-time lead through Fumbeni Muwowo and Moses Nyambe in the 37th and 41 minutes respectively.
Felix Nyaende pulled one back for Nkana in the 66th minute before Given Sinyangwe headed in the equaliser.
Meanwhile, Wanderers' last stint in the Faz Super League ten years ago lasted just one season.
