After losing to a clinical Ghana side, Michel Dussuyer says the Black Stars are now favourites for Afcon 2015.
The Guineans had come into the quarterfinal on Sunday on high spirits after an emotional run throughout the qualifiers and the tournament itself.
But the emotional run - which had been heightened after they beat Mali in a draw of lots - was halted by three Ghana goals from Christian Atsu (twice) and Kwesi Appiah.
"The Black Stars have what it takes to be crowned champions. They have quality and will go all the way to the final," the Guinea boss noted.
Speaking at Estadio de Malabo after the game, the Frenchman praised the qualities of his opponent and lamneted his team's loss.
"Ghana deserve to win against us and can win the trophy as well. "I'm very disappointed in my team because they didn't play too well. Iexpected more from them but in the end we couldn't contain the pressure from Ghana."
Guinea have never made it past the quarters in an Afcon and for the first time, conceded three goals against Ghana in the five meetings.
