Johnson returns to Dikwena hot-seat

Cavin Johnson has been reappointed as coach of Platinum Stars, almost two seasons after leaving the club for SuperSport United.
Johnson, who led the team to second in the Absa Premiership in the 2012/13 campaign, takes over from his former assistant Allan Freese.
Freese led the team to the MTN8 and Telkom Knockout titles last season, as well as a repeat visit to the decider of the Telkom Knockout again this campaign, but has still been axed.
The club are languishing in 13th position on the Absa Premiership table, but do have two games in hand over their rivals which, if they won, could see them elevated to the top eight.
“It was a unanimous decision as we all know how talented Johnson is,” Stars chairman Cliff Ramoroa said on Tuesday.
“We welcome him to the family again and we have faith and believe in him that he will take us to heights of success. The Players, Technical and Support Stuff at the team welcomes Johnson with open arms and looks forward to a great future with successful memories.”
Johnson had been out of a job since being replaced by Gordon Igesund at SuperSport earlier in the campaign.
