Chikhaoui calls for focus on Eq Guinea

Tunisia captain Yassine Chikhaoui has rallied his team to brace up for their Afcon quarterfinal clash with hosts Equatorial Guinea in Ebebiyin on Saturday.
Chikhaoui expects the Equatorial Guineans to get the backing of the 12th man which is why he is calling on his teammates to give undivided attention to the quarterfinal game if they intend to "go far in the tournament."
But the Tunisian midfielder also spoke on his team's performance against DR Congo in their last group match in Bata.
He said that though the Carthage Eagles made it through to the last eight on the strength of their 1-1 draw with DR Congo, he admitted that it was not the best of performance from the team.
The FC Zurich man however thumbed up the physical input of his team against Congolese.
"We did not play badly in the match since the most important thing was to qualify for the next stage. In this match against DR Congo our physical rate was better than in the matches against Cape Verde and Zambia and that is very good. I hope we will be better in the next match," Chikhaoui said after the game on Monday.
"Now we will play against the host team, and their fans will support them but we need focus to win the game and go far in the tournament."
Tunisia have won the Afcon just once in 2004 when they defeated North African rivals, Morocco 2-1.
