University of Pretoria will be out to extend their unbeaten run in the league when the host Mpumalanga Black Aces in an Absa Premiership encounter on Saturday afternoon.
Kick-off is at 3:30 pm.
AmaTuks have gone six games without a defeat, with their latest result a 1-1 stalemate at Free State Stars.
The run of form has eased relegation fears with the Tshwane side who are now eyeing a top eight finish.
Sammy Troughton's men will be confident of continuing their pursuit for a top half of the table finish against AmaZayoni. Clive Barker's troops have struggled of late with their 1-0 loss to SuperSport United extending their winless run to five matches.
AmaTuks captain Tebogo Monyai is aware that Aces are a wounded lion, but is confident that his side can continue their surge up the table.
"For me it is a personal clash as I use to play there, but beyond that its a very important game for the team. If you want to move into the top eight you must be able to beat the teams around you and that is what we have to do. Having said that, Aces are a very dangerous team," said Monyai.
"History says they have yet to beat us in the league so we will be out to improve on that. It will be no walk in the park though, they have a dangerous attack and Dino Ndlovu is finding feet again with a goal against Maritzburg United [in the Nedbank Cup].
"I am a bit concerned with our defending at the moment, but we just have to keep the winning momentum going that is what's key."
AmaZayoni centre back Roger Da Costa is wary of the quality of the opposition, but hopes they can build on their Nedbank Cup win with a much needed victory in the league.
"We are hoping to build on our cup win, but we are under no illusion that this will be an easy game. There must be something in the water in Pretoria, Sammy has certainly been doing well and Tuks look a good team," says Da Costa.
"Having said that we have an exciting attacking trio of Dino (Ndlovu), Collins [Mbesuma] and Tendai [Ndoro] and they will be out to fire on the weekend. We want to keep the ball rolling and build on our performance in the cup.
"They also have a good attack and our defence will have to be tight. We are in for an exciting game that is for sure."
In head-to-head stats, Tuks and Aces have met in three league matches since 2013/14.
The Pretoria team boasts an unbeaten record in that sequence, with two wins and a draw.
Tuks’ only previous home match against Aces was a 2-0 win in the first half of last season.
When the teams met earlier this season in Mpumalanga, they played to a goalless draw.
