It was with great concern that SuperSport learned of Neil Tovey’s ill health.
Reports indicate that he suffered a series of heart attacks on Tuesday. SuperSport is encouraged to hear that that his condition is now stable.
Tovey, the former Bafana Bafana captain, has been a long-time panelist for SuperSport and enjoys renown for his clear analysis and strong opinions.
“We wish Neil a strong recovery and hope he is back to full fitness soon,” said Brandon Foot, Acting CEO of SuperSport. “He is a revered figure in South African football and has much to offer.”
Foot also sent SuperSport’s best wishes to John “Shoes” Moshoeu, the former national footballer who is also ill in hospital.
