SuperSport United, Mamelodi Sundowns and University of Pretoria dominated their MultiChoice Diski Challenge quaterfinal clashes to advance to the semifinals.
They were joined by surprise package Mpumalanga Black Aces who edged favourites Bloemfontein Celtic 1-0.
Giant-killers Tuks claimed another scalp when they cruised past Orlando Pirates 5-2. They had previously edged Kaizer Chiefs 3-1 in a match they had to win in order to progress to the knockout round. Saturday's victory handed them a double over the Soweto sides in successive games.
They came back after going a goal down in the first minute to score four unanswered goals before wrapping up the convincing win with a penalty in the 90th minute.
Khethukuthula Zwane scored the equaliser while second half goals from Botshelo Mfulwane, Mpho Maruping and a Denver Mukamba brace completed the comeback triumph.
SuperSport recorded a 2-0 victory over Platinum Stars in a clash where they would have won by a bigger margin.
They took complete control of the tie but failed to convert the numerous chance that came their way, especially in the second half.
Matsatsantsa scored their two goals in the first half. Ryan Chapman finished with a header 23 minutes into the match and Zakhele Mgobhozi found the second 11 minutes later, also with a header.
Sundowns also gave a stellar performance in their 2-0 win over Polokwane City, who scored the most goals during the group stage.
They had everything going well for them on the day, executing their plan very well. The Brazilians attacked in numbers and were also quick to get behind the ball when defending. That frustrated the City players, who found it difficult to break their opponents' disciplined defence.
Katlego Babile opened the scoring with a brilliant free kick in the 27th minute and Tshepo Ntlaba netted the second 10 minutes after the break.
Tuks will meet SuperSport in the semifinals on 14 February at the Wolfson Stadium in Port Elizabeth. Sundowns will take on Aces.
The Pretoria sides have now played eight matches each, seven in the group stage and the quarterfinal.
In the combined clashes, 23, the three teams registered 14 wins.
SuperSport and Tuks met in the group stage, where Matsatsantsha won 1-0.
They scored a total of 29 goals while conceding 18.
Five of the matches ended in draws.
Considering the way the trio dominated their quarterfinal encounters, few can bet against an all-Pretoria final on 28 February.
