Dolphins survive early Wolves scare

Dolphins came from a goal down to beat Warri Wolves 2-1 in their NPFL clash on Wednesday at Liberation Stadium.
A week after their disappointing home draw against Enyimba, Dolphins found themselves in another unfavourable position when they fell behind to an 8th minute strike by Joseph Osadieye.
They drew level on 25 minutes when Ifeanyi Egwim reacted quickly after Okiemute Odah had spilled a cross.
Isiaka Olawale's winner on the stroke of half time was a real beauty as he dribbled past Musa Kundi before unleashing a rising shot from 30 yards that beat Odah hands down.
Both teams gave a good account of themselves in the second period, but could not alter the scores.
Dolphins manager Stanley Eguma was delighted his team have been able to pick four points from their last two matches.
"Both teams played well and it is good that we have won today after drawing our last match (against Nembe City in Yenagoa). It shows we are emerging from the dark tunnel, and I hope we can keep up this form," he told supersport.com
Warri Wolves head coach Solomon Ogbeide accepted the defeat in good faith, though he pointed out they rested some players for the upcoming Federation Cup final.
"That’s football for you, its either you win, lose or draw a match, and we lost this one, but I'm satisfied that we played well," he said.
"We have an important match coming up this weekend and we decided to rest a few of our regulars, though we introduced some of them in the second half and they made an impact on the game."
