Fulham winger Frei joins Besiktas

Fulham winger Kerim Frei completed his move to Turkish club Besiktas for an undisclosed fee on Friday.
Frei, a Turkey international, opted to return to his home country in a bid to get regular first-team football after failing to make the breakthrough at Craven Cottage.
The Austria-born 19-year-old, who joined the Premier League club in 2010, made just 33 appearances in his three years in west London and spent part of last season on loan at Cardiff City.
Cottagers manager Martin Jol admitted it was in Frei's interests to leave once Besiktas had an offer of around £3 million accepted.
"Kerim has progressed well through his time in the Academy and into the fringes of the first team, which enabled him to play for the Turkish national team, which is a big thing for him," Jol told the club's website.
"But for him to continue this progression and to really fulfil his potential he needs to play week in, week out, and I couldn't offer him that as part of the first team here, so we decided to accept the offer from Besiktas.
"He's sure to have a big impact back in Turkey and I know that on a personal level it's a good option for him.
"I know he'll be much happier playing, so we wish him all the best.
