Ghana for final Egypt checks

Thursday will see Ghana sending a delegation to Egypt for the last official security checks for the hosting of the Black Stars in the World Cup playoff second leg.
Supersport.com understands that the government and Ghana FA delegation will be leaving Ghana shortly for the trip, which was agreed upon at last Monday’s meeting of the GFA, Fifa and the ministry of sports in Lome, Togo.
After the meeting, sports minister Elvis Afriyie Ankrah explained why he has had a hands on approach when it comes to the Black Stars.
Elvis Afriyie Ankrah said despite his confidence in the Black Stars, all stakeholders must be assured of a safe atmosphere for the crucial World Cup playoff.
“We are going to Brazil and no man, born of a woman, can stop us. But at the same time we have to take precautions. We are going into a very volatile territory so we are asking relevant questions.”
Ghana leads the series 6-1 on aggregate ahead of the second leg.
