Local Black Stars ready for Wafu Cup

Local Black Stars boss Maxwell Konadu has called up 26 home-based players to begin camping for next year's CHAN.
The team start basing in the Ashanti mining town of Obuasi on Thursday as they start preparing for this month's eight-nation GoTV Wafu Cup in Kumasi. The Wafu Cup in itself is being seen as a preparatory grounds for the African Nations Championship (CHAN) that takes place in South Africa early next year.
The Wafu tournament takes place between November 21 and November 28, 2013.
Ghana are in the same group with Sierra Leone, Benin and Burkina Faso in Group A while Group B is made of defending champions Togo, Niger, Senegal and Gabon.
