Madjer backs Ghana ahead of Egypt

African football legend Rabah Madjer has spoken - he feels it's impossible for Egypt to make Brazil ahead of Ghana.
From this Friday, ten playoff teams will slug it out in the decisive second legs of their qualifiers, with the winners on aggregate qualifying for the World Cup.
Best remembered for the goal that helped Algeria beat Germany 2-1 at the 1982 World Cup, the former player's left foot was magic. That left foot delivered a cheeky back heel that led FC Porto to beat Bayern Munich 2-1 in the final of the EUropean Champions' Cup.
"We can talk about a surprise but by the magnitude of the score seems unthinkable. Egypt, though, remains one of the great football teams on the continent," he said of the much-heralded Ghana-Egypt second leg.
But he was quite sure it would take a miracle for Ghana not to book a flight to Brazil: "[Egypt] have a good team but the mission is almost impossible. Beating Ghana, currently the best team on the continent 5-0 is not likely. Even if they score two or three goals, it will be a big performance."
These days, Madjer works as a pundit for Al Jazeera although he made these remarks in an interview with Cafonline.com.
Team Ghana are currently based in Turkey as they prepare for the game. They leave for Cairo on Sunday, with the game two days later on November 19.
