AmaZulu aim to shock Sundowns

AmaZulu will be hoping to surprise everyone when they host league contenders Mamelodi Sundowns on Tuesday at Moses Mabhida Stadium in an Absa Premiership encounter.
Kick off is at 19h30.
AmaZulu will be coming into this match without some of their core players in Mbulelo Mabizela who got a red card against Bloemfontein, Carlington Nyadombo and also striker Borwnwel Mwape who is on suspension.
These are just some of the challenges facing coach Steve Barker ahead of this match.
AmaZulu suffered a third successive league defeat when they were beaten 3-0 away to Bloemfontein Celtic earlier this month and will be hoping to register their second win against Sundowns or at least settle for a point.
Usuthu striker Ayanda Dlamini said that this is not a time to feel pity and give up despite the reality that they have tough opponents ahead.
“It's true that we are playing a very strong opponent but that does not mean we should just give up like that. A point against Sundowns will be better although we know that at this point in time all we need is the full three points,” said Dlamini.
Usuthu are placed 16th on the Absa Premiership log with nine points from 18 matches, of which they claimed just four points from eight home matches this season.
On the other side, the in-form Sundowns racked up a third successive league win and extended their unbeaten run to 14 matches with a 4-1 win over Moroka Swallows earlier this month.
The only core player that is not available from the Brazilians set up is Hlompho Kekana
The Tshwane side has claimed 16 points from nine away matches this season and are placed third on the Absa Premiership log with 34 points from 18 matches.
Coach of Mamelodi Sundowns Pitso Mosimane said they will take this game as seriously as any other matches so that they can try and close the gap on log leaders Kaizer Chiefs.
“Every match is important and there is no easy match in the Absa Premiership. We need to go and do our job well and aim to collect the three points,” said Mosimane.
AmaZulu have won just two of their 26 home matches against Sundowns, suffering 18 defeats in the process.
Usuthu coach Steve Barker said belief still plays a role at this point in time and anything is possible if they give it their all.
"It will not be an easy match without some of our players like Mabizela, but that should give the rest of the players a chance to stand up and work extra hard. We are underdogs at this point in time and that should release the pressure from us,” he said.
When the teams met earlier this season, the Brazilians claimed a 2-0 home win thanks to a brace from Zimbabwean forward Cuthbert Malajila.
