Fekir to opt for Algeria or France

French Ligue 1 sensation Nabil Fekir will announce where to play his international career next month before the Fifa break.
The 21-year-old attacking midfielder of Olympique Lyonnais is being hotly courted by Algeria and France, which he has represented in the junior category.
Fekir was born in France to Algerian parents but is yet to receive invitations to the senior teams of both countries.
In an interview with L’Equipe during the weekend, the €27million-rated player said he would discuss with his father before taking a decision.
“Choosing between France and Algeria would be hard. I will weigh the advantages and disadvantages and then consult my father before deciding,” he said.
France and Algeria coaches Didier Deschamps and Christian Gourcuff will likely include Fekir’s name in their lists for the upcoming international friendly matches.
The player, who has scored eight goals in 19 games for Les Gones, believes the matter would be resolved before the release of the lists.
“I think I would have to take a decision before the coaches publish their lists. I know both coaches will include me in their rosters. It’s going to be hard for me but I have to make a definite decision,” he said.
Fekir is also on Arsenal’s priority list against the next transfer window.
