Heartland goalkeeper, David Obiazor has said his side will be going for their first away points at Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) newcomers, 3SC.
The Naze Millionaires will be the guests of Oluyole Warriors in Saturday’s match day 2 clash at the Adamasingba Stadium, Ibadan.
Obiazor said his side are expecting a difficult game at 3SC especially as the Ibadan-based side lost 0-2 to Wikki Tourists in match day 1 duel in Bauchi on Sunday.
“Preparations have been intense for the road trip game at 3SC in Ibadan on Saturday.
“We couldn’t kick off our campaign against Kano Pillars on Saturday due to the unfortunate armed robbery attack on the team but we’ve since then shifted our attention to the 3SC clash aimed at picking our first away points of the season.
“The encounter is expected to be difficult following 3SC 0-2 loss to Wikki Tourists in Bauchi on Sunday.
“They’ll want to redeem their image with the tie on home ground in the presence of their supporters but we’ll deny them the luxury of a home win.
“I believe we’ve rested and prepared adequately for the clash and I’m confident we won’t come back empty handed.
“The worst result we can accept in the encounter is a draw as we can’t afford to start our league campaign on a losing note,” said the former El Kanemi Warriors shot stopper to supersport.com.
The Super Eagles magnet is expected to make his debut appearance for the Owerri-based outfit in the clash at 3SC in Ibadan.
