Meteors line up club friendlies

The Ghana Under-23 team will intensify their preparations with friendlies against selected premiership sides this week.
The Black Meteors are set to resume camp on Monday after returning to their various clubs last week for the weekend’s round of league matches.
With Ghana knowing its opponent – Mozambique, for the 2015 All-Africa Games ultimate qualifier later this month, head coach Malik Jabir has arranged to test his team’s preparedness with in-land trips to Premier clubs AshantiGold, Bechem United and Asante Kotoko for warm-up games.
“Since our return from playing Egypt in Cairo, we have most focused on training on the shape of the team in the past weeks and we will want to test ourselves with some friendlies,” coach Malik Jabir said.
“We will train small and move to Obuasi to play AshantiGold, then to Bechem United and possibly another game with Kotoko. It is important that we get these games to test the team,” he furthered.
The Black Meteors are to host the first leg of the final round of the All-Africa Games qualifiers against Mozambique on the weekend of March 20-22.
