Struggling Moroka Swallows will host Free State Stars as they search for their first three points of the Absa Premiership in 2015 on Wednesday night at Dobsonville Stadium.
Kick-off is at 7:30pm.
The Dube Birds are flying low after losing all of their four previous Absa Premiership matches in the second round and this match presents an opportunity to bag the three points at home.
Swallows' most recent outing saw them loss 1-0 away to Platinum Stars last Sunday.
Fani Madida’s men are placed at position 15 on the log table with 19 points from 21 matches and a win against Kinnah Phiri’s men could ease their relegation concerns.
On the other hand, the visiting Ea Lla Koto are placed at position 13 with 22 points from the same number of games and are also eyeing a win at all costs.
To the Birds hard tackling defender, Larry Cohen, the match is nothing but a chance for them to keep working hard and get the desired result at home.
“Yeah look, our next couple of games are like a cup final and we’ll have to do everything in our power to retain the three points,” said Cohen.
“We’re not at a decent position but we have the quality to get the results, I’m confident of getting the three points at home.
“In the first round we scored first but allowed them to bounce back, we threw it away but we’re not giving them a second chance – we’ll attack and win.”
Changing the point of view to the visitors, the Bethlehem side is also not doing well having lost to Mamelodi Sundowns 2-0 last weekend.
However, defender Daniel Cardoso said they’re there for the three points.
“We’re feeling good and fresh, the mood is great in the camp and we’re up for a fight for the three points against Swallows,” said Cardoso.
“We will not hold back, we’ll go all out and add to their troubles. We beat them in the first round and it’s possible this time.
“We’re also desperate for points and we’ll show no mercy. We’ve played good football in our last two games but we need to score early.
“I think when a team equalises, we end up dropping heads but it’s what we’ve worked on as we head to Dobsonville.”
