The DR Congo delegation reached their Afcon base camp in Ebebiyin via Mongomo on Wednesday afternoon, after undergoing the compulsory Ebola tests in Malabo.

DR Congo coach Florent Ibenge spoke to on their arrival in Equatorial Guinea from Cameroon where they had prepared for the continental competition.
“To be in a place where we could prepare peacefully was a fruitful experience for the future. We worked on our physical fitness and then tactically.
“What is interesting is that we played three games (against Cameroon and two local clubs) and left Cameroon without any serious injury apart from minor problems with Neeskens Kabano and HervĂ© Kage.”
Florent Ibenge also spoke about the bonuses.
“If you send a kid to school and you don’t pay for his uniform, for his school fees, for his meals, then it is a bit difficult to expect him to be top of the class.
“I don’t like to interfere. I leave the people in charge of that do their job and we will do our job.
