Striker Idrissa Sylla has officially been ruled out for Guinea's Africa Cup of Nations 2015 opening game against Ivory Coast.
The Zulte Waregem forward had joined Guinea's camp in Conakry with a hamstring injury, missing out on the Syli's two pre-Afcon warm-up friendly matches.
But he resumed training with the squad on Thursday at the Wellness and Sport Centre in Casablanca, Morocco, where Guinea have been preparing.
It has now been confirmed by Guinea coach Michel Dussuyer that Idrissa Sylla will not play against Ivory Coast in their Afcon opening tie on January 20.
The coach hopes that he will have fully recovered in time for the Cameroon and Mali games.
