No more struggling for Bayelsa Utd

Bayelsa United coach, Richard Bubagha has said outright that time of struggling is over for the side in the nation’s domestic league.
The Restoration Boys barely escaped relegation in the out gone 2013/14 Glo Premier League season as they finished 15th on the log on paltry 51 points.
Bubagha said the side’s seemingly delay to resume camp for the upcoming season is borne by the determination of the management to fix things right to ensure smooth campaign in the new season.
“Bayelsa United won’t struggle again as we did in the out gone season rather we’ll be a candidate for Africa in the coming season.
“In fact, the perceived delay in our resumption for the new season is evidence to the management determination to fix leakages that hampered the side performance in last season.
“Everything is being done right to ensure we hit the ground running once we commence for the new season hopefully between now and next weekend.
“Already we’ve pencilled down three possible places one of which will host our pre-season tour namely Rojenny Holidays Resort, Oba, Ijebu Ode and Kwale in Delta State.
“Though we’re yet to resume camp but we’re quite on top of the situation that will see the side excel in the coming season.
“At least, Bayelsa United won’t miss continental ticket this time around, continental ticket is our main focus and priority,” said Bubagha to supersport.com.
Bubagha hinted that his side are 90% certain to return to their home ground in Yenagoa for the upcoming season.
“We’ve been given assurance to play our home matches at the Samson Siasia Stadium, Yenagoa. The work at the stadium has progressed perfectly well.
“Of course, a possible return to our home ground will enhance our performance greatly unlike the case last season where we played in Benin City.
“That’s the confidence we have at the moment that the period of struggling is completely over for us,” said Bubagha.
Bayelsa United adopted Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City as home ground following the renovation work at their home pitch in Yenagoa.
