Sfaxien’s Ssentamu targets trophies

Uganda Cranes striker Yunus Ssentamu did not waste time after completing his move to Tunisian side CS Sfaxien.
The hitherto DRC side AS Vita striker’s switch was announced on the Tunisian club TV on Thursday in which Ssentamu immediately declared his desire to win titles with Sfaxien.
“My ambition is to make sure that we win more trophies as CS Sfaxien,” said Ssentamu, adding, “I have so much respect for this club. It’s a good club and it gave us a good game when we played them in the semi-finals last year.”
Ssentamu scored the winner in AS Vita’s 2-1 Caf Champions League semifinal victory over his new employers which ensured Vita progressed to the final over the two legs.
“My work is to score goals and since I believe in God, I will score goals for CS Sfaxien to make them happy.”
The 20-year-old, who had spent only one year at AS Vita after joining from Uganda’s Vipers SC early last year, signed a two and a half-year deal for an undisclosed fee.
He becomes the third Ugandan to feature in Tunisia after Jackson Mayanja and Emmanuel Okwi. The latter two had stints at Esperance and Etoile Du Sahel respectively.
