Ajax wait on fitness of key defenders

Ajax Cape Town will have to make a late decision on the fitness of two key defenders ahead of Saturday’s Absa Premiership clash away at Polokwane City.
Musa Lebusa has been ill since returning from Angola, where Ajax won last Saturday at the start of their African Confederation Cup campaign, while Lartey suffered a hamstring strain.
Lebusa has been the consistent first choice at left back for Ajax while Lartey has not missed a match since his debut last month after being signed in the mid-season transfer window.
Both would be checked by the club’s medical staff before a decision on using them in the match in Polokwane is taken by coach Roger de Sa.
But Ajax will make changes from the side that beat Sagrada Esperanca 2-1 in Dundo in last weekend’s Confederation Cup tie.
They did not take first choice goalkeeper Anssi Jaakkola on that trip and also the striker Prince Nxumalo, both of whom are set to be restored to the starting line-up.
