Mikel scores in defeat to PSG

Chelsea's John Obi Mikel scored his second ever goal in the Uefa Champions League round of 16 on Tuesday against Paris Saint-Germain.
The Nigerian midfielder cushioned Diego Costa's flick from Willian's corner kick before firing right-footed past PSG goalkeeper Kevin Trapp right on the break to cancel Zlatan Ibrahimovic's free kick.
Mikel had committed the foul that led to Ibrahimovic scoring with the aid of a deflection off his shin.
However, the midfielder made amends at the other end in a half in which he completed 95 percent of his passes.
PSG forward Edinson Cavani came off the bench to make sure that Chelsea did not claim a win or avoid defeat whenever Mikel scores. The goal, however, gives Chelsea a lifeline of scoring on the road.
Mikel's goal against Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday is his sixth in 356 appearances for the Blues since he joined the English champions in 2006.
The Nigerian's previous five goals were against Macclesfield Town, Nottingham Forest, Derby County, Fulham and Sporting Lisbon.
Coincidentally his last goal for the London club was in the Uefa Champions League against Sporting Lisbon in December 2014 when the Blues won 3-1 at Stamford Bridge.
