Stars out to extend unbeaten run

Platinum Stars will be out to extend their unbeaten run in the Absa Premiership to six games when they welcome Jomo Cosmos to the Moruleng Stadium on Sunday. Kick-off is at 3:30pm.
Dikwena took their unbeaten streak to five matches with a 1-1 draw at Maritzburg United last time out.
Cavin Johnson's troops continue to keep the heat on the top four and will be eager to build on their dominance over Ezenkosi with this weekend's visitors managing a mere win over Stars in the teams' last nine league meetings.
Captain Vuyo Mere predicts a tight match, but believes the hosts will not draw an advantage from the weather conditions. Teams often complain about the heat that is synonymous with the area.
"They [Cosmos] are going to come here very motivated following their win last time out, we also managed a good point away from home so I predict a tight match. We will give Cosmos all the respect they deserve," said Mere.
"Both teams play under the same son so I can't see how that will be an advantage for us, teams coming here always say that, but truth is that the heat also effects us."
Cosmos opened a four point gap between themselves and the relegation zone with a 1-0 win over Free State Stars.
Goalkeeper Sherwyn Naicker admits the club have not been able to convert one win into a good run of results this season and hopes that will change in coming weeks.
"It is hot there in Moruleng, but we are hopeful that we can get a point or three to close the gap on the teams sitting above us on the table and further stretch the gap between us and the teams in the relegation zone - AmaTuks and Maritzburg United," said Naicker.
"This season we have not been able to win two games in succession and that is something we want to change, we can't dwell to much on that - we just have to make sure we remain positive and put all our effort into getting something from this game."
In head-to-head stats, Cosmos and Stars have met in 15 league matches since 2003/04.
Dikwena have won seven matches compared to two for Ezenkosi, while six encounters have been drawn.
Stars boast an unbeaten home record against Cosmos in the league, with four wins and three draws from seven matches.
When the teams met earlier this season, Dikwena claimed a 2-1 away win over Ezenkosi.
