The Absa Premiership served up some sizzling football in January as Mamelodi Sundowns continued to bulldoze opponents with ease. A total of 85 goals rattled the net in the local league, some great while others simply spectacular.
It appears that the R50 000 carrot for the best goal of the season gotten the players thinking before thumping the ball into the net. No wonder as that prize money is more than that given to the overall leading scorer – R25 000 (for any number less than 25 goals).
Menzi Masuku of Orlando Pirates pocketed the last R50K cheque for his 54th minute stunner against SuperSport United on 29 April 2015.
