Nigeria's Under-23 head coach, Samson Siasia has warned that South Africa will be difficult to bench if Super Eagles allowed the side the luxury to score first in the crucial clash.
Eagles will host the South African counterparts, the Bafana Bafana in the final decisive qualifying match of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations on Wednesday at the Akwa Ibom Stadium, Uyo.
Siasia said though South Africa have not posed a hard nut to crack for Nigeria in the past but reckoned that the present crop of players are far improved and organised than their predecessors and can actually ruffle some feathers.
"Super Eagles must not allow the South Africans to score first or score at all in the encounter else we'll be confronted with an ugly situation no one can fathom a solution.
"Though South Africa have never been a problem for us but they're coming here with a crop of ambitious and well organised players especially the domestic ones in their midst.
"South Africa are certainly coming here to kill the game with lot of delay antics aimed at frustrating the Eagles.
"Of course, South Africa have gone outside their shores in Sudan and Congo to earn decent wins so they'll surely want to take their chances for another away win against Eagles.
"So we must not show complacency throughout the duration of the game nor take them for granted as they stand to lose nothing no matter what turns out to be the outcome of the showdown.
"I know Eagles are always jittery whenever they're playing on the home ground mainly due to the somehow impatience on the part of the supporters.
"However, we can change the picture of the match with an early goal or goals so that we can comfortably dictate the pace and pattern of the match.
"The watchword for Eagles is 100% concentration while we try to avoid committing unnecessary mistakes in our back line as well as take the available chances that may come on our way in the crucial match.
"I strongly believe the momentum is quite high for Eagles to grab a win and go ahead to qualify for the Afcon final in Equatorial Guinea," said the former Nigerian manager to supersport.com.
Eagles are playing second fiddle to leaders, South Africa in Group A and need outright victory to be guaranteed a ticket in the biennial football showpiece in Equatorial Guinea notwithstanding the outcome of other group opponents' clash between bottom placed side, Sudan and Congo.
