Le Roy: It’s David v Goliath

Congo coach Claude Le Roy said for them it’s all down to the pitch ahead of their 2015 CAF Africa Cup of Nations quarterfinal match against DR Congo on Saturday at Bata Stadium. Kick-off is at 6pm, live on SS$ HD.
Le Roy was speaking to the Congolese press and he sounded upbeat for this clash as they target a win in the first knockout match and said they also want to go further in the 30th edition of the tournament.
“For me it is all down to the pitch. What I am interested in is the football pitch, the two 23-player squads and the technical staff who are going to prepare for the game. It is only pleasure,” said Le Roy.
“We said that our dream was to reach the quarter-finals. It is done and we all know that the appetite comes with the eating’. So we want to go further.
“We are going to face a team that I know well as it is 80% or 90% of the group that I put in place. We won’t see much change to the squad that we built.
“It is going to be a very tricky game, they have a huge athletic power and we will have to answer tactically.
“We know their potential and it is going to be David vs Goliath, but we know that sometime the small David caused some problems to the big Goliath - so we are preparing accordingly.”
