Tornadoes chase Biffo, Abdulrahman

The twosome Abdul Bidemi Biffo and Tunde Abdulrahman are highly favoured to grab the head coach job at Nigeria National League (NNL) side, Niger Tornadoes.
Biffo was on duty for Kogi United in the out gone season while Abdulrahman tutored Wikki Tourists to win promotion to the elite league but was considered surplus in the choice of coach to guide the side’s campaign in the top flight in the coming season.
Competent source at the Minna-based side said though three coaches were shortlisted for the top job the duo are hot favourites to replace former handler, Godwin Uwua.
“Three coaches were shortlisted for the hot job but Abdulrahman and Biffo are frontrunners to win the heart of the management for the plum job.
“The panel assigned with the responsibility is most likely to sit with the coaches next week aimed at recommending one of them to the management for approval.
“The panel is quite aware that the coaches have received front banner mention at Kwara United.
“The panel wants to work very fast to provide the coaches options to choose among the interested suitors.
“Of course, the ultimate target or mandate for the would-be coach is to win promotion to the top flight.
“The management is quite desirous to see the side return to the Nigerian top flight after two futile attempts.
“Thus won’t apply sentiment in the choice of coach to lead the side in the upcoming league season,” said the unnamed source to supersport.com.
Niger Tornadoes finished the immediate past NNL Division A season on fourth position on 50 points.
