Barker has faith in striker depth

AmaZulu coach Steve Barker has brushed aside the suspension of in-form striker Bongi Ntuli and says he has enough depth in the striking department to help the club in their quest to avoid the drop.
Usuthu are five points from safety in the Absa Premiership with seven games to go, but were not helped by a red card for Ntuli in their 1-1 draw with Chippa United 10 days ago.
The on-loan forward had scored in his previous three games but will now be missing for fixtures against Free State Stars and Kaizer Chiefs next month.
“It is a bit of a setback for us because the player was scoring and showing some confidence in front of goals again. However we have other quality players in Bongani Ndulula and Ayanda Dlamini,” Barker told his club’s website.
“I think these players are ready to step and use the opportunity to the best of their abilities. They have done well for the club before and I am sure they will do a wonderful job.”
Ntuli will spend the remainder of the season with Usuthu having been signed from Mamelodi Sundowns in January where he had struggled for game-time.
