Ghana will include more foreign-based players to the upcoming Under-20 World Cup team.
It has become a noted practice that due to the profile of the African Youth Championships, teams in Europe, especially, are usually unwilling to free players for their national teams.
This leads to a phenomenon where locally-based players are mostly used to play the African qualifiers, while foreign-based players are called to augment the side after qualification.
"We will include some players to the team before the World Cup. That should be no surprise because it is not an alien practice to Ghana. There is no issue," Wilfried Palmer, Black Satellites Management Committee chairman said to supersport.com.
Highly-rated Godfred Donsah (Cagliari), Divine Narh (Nec Breda) and some names expected to be included in the team that has just played third in Senegal.
The World Cup starts on May 30.
